Internet Safety

In an increasingly technological world, children are often accessing technology with the ability to access the internet from a young age. We teach esafety through our bespoke acornym of 'TAG'. In Early Years, children learn to 'Tell A Grown up', with this progressing to 'Tell Ask Go' in Key Stage One, promoting the safe use of technological devices that can access the internet. Our bespoke posters which were designed by children in the school can be seen below.

Please find below a selection of online resources for pupils and parents that may be useful when considering how to access the internet safely. The sites listed below are by no means exhaustive, but do give a great introduction to e-safety.  We hope you will find them useful to engage you and your child in constructive conversation about e-safety.

Our designated member of staff for Internet Safety is Annie Scofield.

We often use story books to support the children's understanding around E Safety. Some examples of these stories can be found on our E Safety stories page.

Always be careful when you are using the internet. It can help you to keep in touch with your friends and help your education – but it can also cause harm – to you and to others.

Remember help is always available at school if you are having any problems online.

Don’t be afraid to talk to your teacher or another adult at school.

Tips for staying safe online:

  • Make sure you keep new online friends strictly online. If someone you don't know asks to be your online friend you must ensure an adult knows about it.

  • Know how to use the CEOP Button and how to report it to the CEOP Centre if you are concerned about someone’s online behaviour towards you.
