Community and parental support

Parent Support Group

Once a month we hold a parental support group. Some sessions are supported by visitors such as the school nurse, other sessions are an opportunity for parents to chat and support each other. If you are interested in joining this support group, please speak to the school office.

Family Information Service

Warwickshire offer a free information and signposting service for families with children and young people aged 0 – 25 and professionals working with families in Warwickshire.

They cover a wide range of family related topics such as childcare, mediation and contact, divorce and separation, finance, health, bullying, support groups and parenting support.

Their latest newsletter and more information can be found using the web link below.

At Harvest time, we hold a collection for food donations for Hope 4, Rugby, a local homeless shelter. At Christmas we carry out a reverse advent throughout advent, collecting Christmas treats and food which are also donated to Hope 4.

We are lucky that every year during the Autumn the local community support the school by donating pumpkins for carving and decorations.
The whole school works together to create poppy wreathes and crosses to lay on local war memorials ready for Remembrance Day.
At the beginning of December, some of the local church wardens come into school with Reverend Anne. We make Christingles to use in our own Christingle service with Reverend Anne, and we also make the Christingles that are used throughout the local parish churches.
We make the most of our countryside location by working with our local farmers who bring animals into school to support the children's learning.

The Warwickshire school health and well being service have a wealth of information and regular newsletters which are published on their website. https://www.compass-uk.org/services/warwickshire-school-health-wellbeing-service/

'A school nursing service for the delivery of the Healthy Child Programme 5-19, led by school nurses for the promotion, prevention and protection of children and young people’s health and wellbeing.'
