Gardening Club

Gardening Club runs every Friday from 3.15-4.15pm from February half term (when the soil wakes up after the winter) to October half term (when soil goes to sleep for the winter)

Our aim is to make gardening fun whilst teaching the children about plants and the growing process as well maintaining the schools outdoor environment while following our school moto:

Sowing the seeds of a lifelong love of learning’ in a caring Christian community’

Gardening club is open for children from reception to year two.

Each term we try and grow things to share with the whole school or donate to a local foodbank.

Over the last year we have grown;

Raspberries, black currents, potatoes, runner beans, lettuce, tomatoes and apples and 600 hundred spring bulbs !

We have also grown flowers from seed, for our entry in the ‘Rugby in Bloom’ schools competition which we enter annually.

If you would like to join Gardening Club please speak to the office and we hope to see you soon.  There is a £1 fee per week to cover our costs.
